- Description:
Rachel's Bath is a natural whirlpool tub formed in the rocks at the extreme northwest tip of Compass Cay. It is a favorite photo op spot for those who want a selfie of sipping a cool drink against a backdrop of waves from Exuma Sound crashing on the rocks.
The anchorage is located on the north end of Compass Cay along the curve of the shoreline. There is an area of sand that offers decent holding but not very much protection from the elements other than NE. in most conditions there is a swell that permeates into the anchorage that will grow in intensity as the winds increase above 15 knots. The other issue to contend with will be a steady stream of wakes from vessels of all sizes entering the marina at Compass Cay. In settled conditions the anchorage is fine for an overnight, however alternate plans should be made if winds approaching 20 knots are forecast.
