Strachan Cay
- Location: Long Island
- Lat / Lon: N 23° 06.365' / W 074° 56.747'
- Depth: 7-10 Feet
- Tide: 2.5'-3.5'
- Description:
The bulk of Strachan Cay provides good shelter in the event of a cold front. In more settled conditions there is a possibility of a swell building in the afternoon sea breezes but they will usually subside by sunset. The holding is good, but care must be taken to avoid the patches of heavy grass that extend outwards from the cay. There is a small beach on the cay for those with pets or simply wish to stretch their legs after a long sea voyage.
It is a short dinghy ride across the harbour to the government dock where you either tie up or beach your dinghy
