- Location: Atlantic City Inlet
- Mile Marker: Mile 65.1 New Jersey ICW
- Lat / Lon: N 39° 22.778' / W 074° 25.275'
- Depth: 8-22 ft
- Description:
The Coast Guard does not permit anchoring in Clam Creek Basin. However, there is a substantial anchorage area south of the highway bridge. Take care to honor green-and-red lighted buoy "CC" at the mouth to Clam Creek Basin and green buoy "13" as there is a shoal to the west of the line joining them. Expect challenging currents and a 5-foot tidal range in calculating appropriate scope. From there, it will be a dinghy ride of about a half a mile to the basin, where a dinghy landing is available at the city marina in Historic Gardner's Basin.
DISCLAIMER: Before committing to an anchorage, you should confirm that the location is not governed by a regulation that may conflict with your plans. An increasing number of states and municipalities are enacting laws that define where and how long you may anchor.
