- Description: The anchorage at Bahia de Cadiz offers very good protection from NE-SW but is wide open to the north. Boaters that use this anchorage during the winter months should pay close attention to the weather as the entire anchorage will become a dangerous lee shore in the event of a frontal passage. When conditions are settled, though, the anchorage feels positively Caribbean, as the mangroves give way to a few small stretches of beach and palm trees.
