Shroud Cay North
- Location: Northern Exuma
- Lat / Lon: N 24° 32.857' / W 076° 47.489'
- Depth: 6'-8'
- Tide: 2.5'-3.0'
- Description:
The north anchorage offers acceptable protection in mild easterly conditions, but a swell will develop if the winds rise above 15 knots. Shallower drafted vessels that can snuggle into the shoreline south of Sanctuary Creek will gain additional protection, but there will always be some degree of swell in higher winds. It is exposed from all other directions and should not be used if winds from the south through north are expected. If one wishes to remain at Shroud Cay in other than prevailing easterly winds, the best alternative is to use the mooring field or if necessary the south anchorage.
