Tucker Bay
- Location: Lake Huron
- Lat / Lon: N 45° 31.889' / W 080° 25.874'
- Depth: 8 feet
- Description:
The island next to this bay is unnamed on every chart and map we have available. Our understanding is that some locals call it Tucker Bay. We stayed here two nights in late July of 2022. This is a beautiful place to anchor with room for 5-6 boats depending on scope of anchor rode. We anchored in 8 feet of water. The bottom is good holding mud and came up pretty clean. There is very good wind protection from all but the southeast. Occasional wakes from fishing boats but nothing annoying. Only one small cottage visible from this site and it is way across on the east side on another island. Mink inhabit the area and could be seen scampering on shore and swimming across the bay. There are a couple of places to take dogs ashore. We had 2 bars of Verizon service. The Hole in the Wall is a popular local swimming hole and a short dingy ride away. The Ojibway Club is a 1.3 mile dinghy ride away but winds were too strong for us to go. This is a 5-star anchorage overall.
