Kenosha Harbor
- Location: Lake Michigan
- Lat / Lon: N 42° 35.309' / W 087° 49.086'
- Depth: 20 feet
- Description:
We stayed through the night on a Thursday while they were having their Peanut Butter & Jam Concert. We were the only boat anchored. The anchorage is well protected, but you must anchor north of the channel to avoid the surge. We had South and South West winds. It was 22.5 feet deep. You must be very careful not to block the path to the Great Lakes Yachts slips for other boats. Our anchor held very well. There are several places to eat near by. You can go to the Boat House, the Wyndham hotel, or simply walk to the many restaurants Kenosha offers (many within 6 blocks). The Coast Guards have a station in there. The Kenosha Community Sailing Club offers sailing lessons to the community. We enjoyed watching many small sailboats around. There are also pedal ducks, canoes, and paddle boards for rent.
