• Description:

  After a long cruise from Sandy Hook this was one of a few marked anchorages. Wind was from the southwest which offered little protection. We anchored in about 12ft because the tide is 4ft and we did not want to risk grounding. Anchor held solid and came up clean (Mantus 65 lbs). We did let out 100ft of chain due to the strong winds.
