- Description:
When you just want to get away from everybody without having to go too far, Water Cay fits the bill.
By virtue of its position at the tip of a small point of land protruding from Great Abaco Island on the south side of the Sea of Abaco it offers excellent protection from the south. The shoreline is deserted except for a private harbor that is the terminal for the Albury Ferry boats that ply the Sea of Abaco. The rocks just north of Water Cay are a good spot to drop a line and take your chance at catching a snapper or two. The fish aren’t big in this area, but they are plentiful and kids can be kept entertained for hours.
