Shotgun Bay
- Lat / Lon: N 45° 11.192' / W 080° 02.427'
- Description:
This was our most favorite anchorage in Georgian Bay so far. The shoreline is beautiful and there is a dock with a campsite to dinghy to. Our boat neighbors saw a moose and baby bear at the end of the Bay the night before we arrived. Some boats rafted together and stern tied to shore, and others anchored out. There is room for lots of boats and the Bay is well protected on all sides. This is a tributary off of Port Rawson and part of the Georgian Bay Islands National Parks.
DISCLAIMER: Before committing to an anchorage, you should confirm that the location is not governed by a regulation that may conflict with your plans. An increasing number of states and municipalities are enacting laws that define where and how long you may anchor.
