We spent 2 nights at Port Lorain in August and we were greatly disappointed and had an experience with the decrepit docks that was alarming. Much of the marina is in terrible condition — it’s clear management is ignoring the problems. The first night it was blowing 20 kts off the lake and the finger pier we were tied-to nearly detached from the main dock because 2 of 3 fastenings were broken. We used our lines to lash the pier to the main dock. There is almost no staff. In the morning, 2 guys in the office were playing music & eating. They apparently have no responsibilities for the docks. Trash bins aren’t emptied. The boaters “Lounge” has water leaking from the ceiling into buckets on the floor. If you look at the Oasis Marinas website it looks great - they spend more money on marketing than operations. If you read reviews of Oasis Lorain & the Oasis Cleveland marina, the staff always say things will be fixed but for years it’s the same complaints repeatedly. Stay elsewhere.
