| Noteworthy: | As you approach Lock 7 from south, take marked channel to west. If your destination is Fort Edward, do not enter the larger Hudson River opposite R222. Follow the channel 0.8 miles as it curves to port and passes under CP (ATK) Railroad Bridge (19.98') and Bridge Street (NY 197) Bridge (25.36'). Controlling depth is 6'. Just west of bridges, tie up to 500' town wall on north side of channel with electric and water. Maximum stay of three days. Fort Edward has some restaurants and amenities within walking distance. Good place to leave boat for run into Glens Falls by bus or New York City by train. |
