Comments from the Waterway Guide Community

"Last spring we did a mini loop up the NC ICW from Southport to Beaufort to Oriental, then visiting Ocracoke and Manteo on the Pamlico. Then we crossed the Albemarle, went down the alligator/pungo canal to Belhaven, and on to Washington before heading back to Morehead City. All great stops but Washington was our favorite on this trip."

"If you are not in a hurry, well worth it. Inexpensive dockage, great walkable town. Check out Bills Hot Dog Stand. Many nice places to eat and shop."

"We enjoyed Washington so much on our trips that we've retired here. Loving the river life."
