BA: Grand Lucayan Waterway, Low Water
- Date Reported: Mar 26, 2023
- Reporter: Graeme Walker
- Source: User
- Description:
Went through yesterday at 30 minutes before high tide, note that high tide is 2.5hrs after high tide in Freeport, and we had only 1.2' clearance on our props which are at 4' depth. Lucayan Waterway was fine except for this particular spot. We did 6mph through the entire channel.

Vessel Type: Power
LOA: 47'
Draft: 4.0'Entered Grand Lucayan Waterway from Dover Sound, one hour after high tide. Saw 6.8' depths on approach. Once inside, the canal is wide and deep. There are a few sunken vessels along the side, but mostly a pleasant wide canal.
