SC: Isle of Palms, Breach Inlet, Beach Renourishment

Ahtna Marine and Construction Company will be dredging approximately 757,000 cubic yards of unclassified material from Placement Areas 1110S W-C, 1088S W-C, 1056S W-C, and 1028S W-C which shall be placed at Sullivan's Island and Isle of Palms beaches. The estimated completion date is February 28, 2025. The pipeline will start in approximate position 32-47-17.55N / 079-48-28.72W in the vicinity of Winyah Bay-Charleston Harbor Daybeacon 117A (LLNR 34510.5) and be submerged under the channel to approximate position 32-47-09.85N / 079-48-30.52W. The pipeline will be floating to approximate position 32-46-43.83N / 079-48-43.07W. The pipeline will continue by be submerged across the channel to approximate position 32- 46-30.80 N / 079-48-48.24W. All pipelines will be marked per U.S. Coast Guard rules and regulations. Barges will be marked with flashing lights at night. Boaters are urged to maintain safe distance from the barges to avoid potential interference with the hauling operations. Mariners are urged to transit at their slowest safe speed to minimize wake and proceed with caution after arrangements have been made. Barges will be monitoring VHF-FM channels 16 and 79. Draft: 5.0'Took detour headed south at high tide. No depth issues but be watchful for the pipeline from the dredge as it is in the detour also. The pipeline is well marked and avoidable.
