- Date Reported: Jan 31, 2026
- Reporter: Waterway Guide Staff
- Source: USCG District 1
- Description:
Bank stabilization operations will be conducted north of the Kingston Rhinecliff Bridge, off the west side of the Hudson River, from February 17, 2026, through January 28, 2031.
Work will occur within the Town of Ulster allowable work hours between 7:00 a.m. and 10:00 p.m. Operations will take place entirely within the existing cove off the Hudson River and will not interfere with the navigation channel.
The project includes bank stabilization, installation of a floating pier system attached to an existing bulkhead, installation of finger piers, pile installation, and dredging. Approximately 1,429 cubic yards of material will be dredged over an area of approximately 12,500 square feet, with all dredged material disposed of in a contained upland disposal area on the property.
Mariners should be aware that all work will remain within the existing cove and is not expected to impact channel traffic. Exercise caution when transiting the area adjacent to the work site.
