MD: Ocean City Inlet, Coast of Assateague Island, Geotechnical survey operations

Northstar Marine will be performing marine geotechnical survey operations in support of a subsea fiber optic telecommunication cable off the coast of Assateague Island in the Atlantic Ocean, near Ocean City Inlet. The work is scheduled from February 24 to March 31, 2026, with specific operations near coordinates 38-18-20.5698N, 075-06-08.0802W expected to begin around March 26 and last approximately 10 days. The barge vessel LB VISION will operate Monday through Sunday from 0600 to 1800.
The LB VISION will be restricted in maneuverability while operations are underway and will monitor VHF Channels 13, 16, and 71. Mariners are requested to minimize wake when passing and maintain a minimum distance of at least 300 feet from the barge. A small support craft may also be onsite for crew transfers.
