NJ: Raritan River Cutoff Channel - Raritan River, Raritan River Railroad Bridge, Demolition Operations

Construction and demolition operations to replace the Raritan River Railroad Bridge in New Jersey will commence on April 1, 2026, and continue through January 18, 2030. During April-May 2026, a number of barges and support vessels will be moored outside the navigational channel. Due to ongoing construction activities, mariners will be unable to use the south navigational channel.
Work hours for this project are 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday-Friday. Mariners are advised to exercise caution and reduce wake when transiting the area. Mariners with questions or concerns can contact the vessels on scene via marine radio VHF-FM Ch 13/16.
