Vessel Type: Sail
LOA: 26'
Draft: 2.5'We ran aground there on Sunday 6/11 but were able to motor out in reverse. It was about noon so that was near high tide according to the Beaver Dam Creek prediction. We knew the water is shallow there, but we were relatively near gunners ditch channel, getting out of the way of power boats, and we know this area fairly well. Our sailboat draft is 2.5 ft, so we rarely have trouble.

Vessel Type: Power
LOA: 36'
Draft: 5.0'Where do these reports come from? And what is meant by shoaling? One area I noted as shoaling is always shoal. It is not even near the marked channel. I believe that any boat reporting shoaling should report the soundings, tide level at the time of the sounding, and whether they are reporting depth of the water or depth under the keel.

WG Editor Comment:
Serendipity,
We agree with you that the additional details would be very helpful. However, the source, which is identified and is the CG 5th District Notice to Mariners 24/17, did not contain that information.
