MA: Cape Cod Canal, vessel clearance required

Mariners are advised that all vessels 65 feet and over shall not enter the Cape Cod Canal until clearance has been obtained from the Marine Traffic Controller by radio. Vessels shall request clearance at least 15 minutes prior to entering the Cape Cod Canal at any point. The Cape Cod Canal, including approaches extends from 1.6 miles seaward of the Canal Breakwater Light (East Entrance Cape Cod Bay) through the land cut to
Cleveland Ledge Light in Buzzards Bay approximately 4 miles southwest of Wings Neck. Vessels should contact with Cape Cod Canal Marine Traffic Control on VHF-FM channel 13. All vessels are required to maintain a radio guard on channel 13 during the entire passage. Speed limit is 10mph. - Lat / Lon: N 41° 46.907' / W 070° 28.823'
