Confusing area. Study the chart to be sure of how to proceed. Many buoys are arrayed in front as you head south and can be hard to see in determining the correct path.
The chart shows the path for continuing on the ICW to Morehead City and the path to Homer Smith Marina in Beaufort, NC. The Bob423 track to Beaufort, NC is shown for 10 MLLW as a red dotted line. The blue dotted line is the Bob423 track good for 10 MLLW. The 11/12/2024 USACE survey is shown in Aqua Map.
ICW heading south: pass R28 and R30 to starboard, green/red junction ATON to port, and G29A to port.
ICW heading north: pass G29A and green/red junction ATON to starboard and R30 and R28 to port.
Beaufort heading south: pass R28, green/red junction ATON, and R2 to starboard. Pass G29 to port.USACE = US Army Corps of Engineers
