FL: Matanzas River by R80A, MM 792.5
- Date Reported: Nov 12, 2025
- Reporter: Bob423
- Source: User
- Description:
UPDATE: 10.0 MLLW as of11/4/2025 on the Bob423 track There is no G81D, it has been discontinued by the Coast Guard. The 2/8/2023 USACE survey is shown, but it's before dredging; stay on the Bob423 track.
This is one area where you want to be sure you have the latest Bob423 track – it's updated often as the shoaling continues.
The red dotted line is the track into the Matanzas anchorage. You start at G81 and follow the curve of the land, staying about 100 ft off and favoring the northern shore once in the Matanzas Inlet channel. Anchor right in front of the Fort. The path does not shoal; it's been good for at least 6.4 MLLW or more during all the years when Matanzas has gone through multiple shoaling and dredging. A Bob423 Surveyor measured the red track on 4/20/2025 to be 7.6 MLLW.

USACE = US Army Corps of Engineers
