These are public floating docks behind lower end of Towhead Island mile marker 603, docks are adjacent to a large public park in downtown Louisville so you may have the public wandering around on the public docks, docks are not secure or fenced, Louisville Metro police keep their boats on these same docks at the upper end, power pedestals but not sure if they work, plenty of water depth at lower end of Towhead Island, very shallow at upper end of Towhead Island so enter from downriver

Note the docking form and donation expectations at the website link. If arriving from the north take a wide line around the bottom of the towhead island--a visible sunk barge will motivate you.
We arrived at 5 pm on a nice summer Friday night and found multiple slips available. Current and wind were slight, so docking was easy. 50 amp power stations on the downstream slips--the upstream slips are occupied by long term renters and law enforcement boats. Lots of park visitors, so expect people on the piers. We had one young man in a family group board our boat without permission, so consider how to discourage that possibility. Just below the railroad bridge converted to pedestrian bridge to Jeffersonville, and lots within walking distance, although multiple interstates and a gentrifying industrial area border the river park to the south.View location on the Waterway Guide Explorer
