Can never say enough, welcoming as always. Stopped northbound, first off the boat meal since Kuttawa, KY. First rate experience as always!

Great folks. Very friendly. Good pizza. Fun place to dock. Transit slips are on the main channel, in front of bar and outdoor picnic area. Watch the weather and wind direction. If it's blowing out of the north, be prepared to be bounced around.

It's been 6 years, but everything is as wonderful as it was the first time. Thankfully, as we have been here for over 2 weeks waiting out locks to re-open from high water. There is not a more welcoming bunch than the folks here at KYC. You do have to dock on the seawall exposed to the river with big boats. Fender and tie well, NE winds or wakes will shake you around a bit.

7-1-2018: Harbor conditions are not perfect, however Fuel can be pumped on the outside wall now if you need, best price for gas since I got on the water.

While there sure are other bigger places with fancier set-ups you cannot beat the people here. They open up the entire Yacht Club to you, they take care of you like you were a member for years. Yes over 5' draft is limited. but if you can, the hospitality makes up for anything amenities you might miss. Best stop since Clinton!

Transient parking available along the wall. Nice showers and laundry facilities. The bar is right there. Did not walk into town.

Business hours vary and it was difficult to contact anyone to book a transient slip. We docked on their wall and waited until someone showed up (register with the bartender). Very nice, compact facility, with easy access to clean bathrooms, showers and laundry, and it was nice to grab a drink just steps from the boat and enjoy it on their lovely deck. The fuel dock is inside the small harbor, but we filled jerry cans and carried them the short distance to the boat. The outside wall is exposed to wakes and waves and it's a two-mile walk to town, but we enjoyed our stay here and would return.

Friendly boat club with a restaurant. Some distance from town up a steep hill. Our width and shallow water kept us out of the main marina and no access to the fuel dock. Outside docks are first come first serve and power on only the one beside the clubhouse. Members may help make room as they did for a boat that arrived after us. Locked gates after restaurant closes provide security.
