Good safe stop. On a wall, which is just fine for our catamaran. Depth at wall reads 10 feet, which also works for deeper drafts. We were going to anchor in the bay, however, depth was around 30 feet, so need lots of scope. Dock Master extremely helpful and friendly. Basic amenities available.

The diesel on 25 July was $4.33/gallon. The entrance is well marked and wide between the East and West breakwaters. The West Bay has deep water as you travel west to the Burt Township Marina which is a wall (water depth along wall is 11ft) capable of docking up to 6 boats. On the east end of the wall is the Fuel dock which is identified by a small shack. If taking on fuel, I recommend a port tie-up or if starboard tie-up, 45-degree angle approach to avoid shoal water just east of the wall and fuel dock. I encountered rapidly shoaling depth to 7 feet with a 30-degree angle and cautiously veered left into deeper water. Adjacent to the wall is the restroom facility, be sure to ask for a key to the shower room. I stayed one night.

This is a nice place to get off the lake. The marina is just a wall. There is room for 5 or six boats. 50 Amp and 30 Amp are available. Restrooms and shower were built a few years ago and nice. The challenge with the shower is that each vessel is given a key (a good thing),; however, there is no lock from inside the shower room to keep other boaters from unlocking the door and coming in. This locking situation is to keep people from town from getting into the shower room (if someone forgot to lock it upon exiting) and locking the door and sleeping in there. The center of town is a couple of blocks away and has a variety to stores and services.

Easy to get to. Friendly staff, clean bathrooms, great shower! Easy walk to town. And if they have no room for you, the West Bay is a great anchorage.
