Escanaba Municipal Marina. The diesel on 8 June was $4.66/gal. Well-kept marina with very nice staff; best to call for a reservation. From the marina there is a short walk to main street via a park area with historical signage. Sandy point area has history dating to the Noc Indians nearly 5000 years ago. On my approach from the east to Little Bay via Poverty Island, I encountered a moderate breeze from NNE which generated waves of 5ft and a 2 to 4 second period in the vicinity of red buoy 4 "Corona Shaol". I confirmed with the marina staff the most reliable approach transiting the bay is to stay in the 90ft depth water "trough" on the bay's west side but mindful of the adjacent west shallows and shallow 50ft water to its east. Stayed one night.
