I'm giving it 5 stars to balance out the mistaken bad ratings. While most Safe Harbor marinas ARE indeed overpriced, the previous reviewers are confusing Safe Harbor Manasquan River with Safe Harbor Crystal Point. The Manasquan River Safe Harbor has no pool and is really just a concrete yard. Crystal point DOES have a pool, and a busy restaurant in season that serves dockside.

I have not stayed there - I stay at Clarks Landing - but I have seen the marina and the previous reviewers definitely confused their Safe Harbors

This place is way overpriced and all they have to offer you is a paved parking lot with poorly-maintained docks. On their website they show pictures of a pool. I don't know whose pool that is but it's not theirs. They do not have a pool, they do not have a clubhouse, and their docks do not have any type of security gates. They are next to a bridge that that has public fishing allowed and many of them wander over to the marina and walk down the unsecured docks. They have one bathroom that seems like it's a mile walk from your boat and when you speak to management you are told that they are a big Corporation that owns them and they don't care. There's a reason why they are the emptiest marina on the Manasquan.

Negative: I like the picture of the pool in their ad. There is no pool at this marina. This marina costs more than the other competitors. The fuel costs are very high. And there is only one really usable transient spot (due to draft issue) but they won't let you reserve it on-line if you draw more than 3 feet. Best to call the able dockmaster, but they don't list his number and he cannot access the messages left on the answering machine. There is nothing nearby.

Positive: The fuel dock is self-serve (like your gas station) and open 24 hours a day. The T-head dock just south of the fuel dock has two spots, the northern end a transient spot. It's the only spot that is a floating T- head in the Inlet, so there is that.

Crystal Point Marinia is a nice place but the prices are very high. You pay for electric, no pool, no club house. They show old pictures the way it was years ago; the place is empty. It has very good potential,
deep water, protected. Needs good management, which it does not have.
