This is a first-class marina in every respect. Excellent restaurant on site and very close to shopping in town. The bathrooms and showers were clean and well-maintained.

GREAT Marina! CHRIS GOOTS is a master dockhand, ask for him! We have never had our boat tied up that fast almost without our help, and we have traveled the east coast from FL to MA! Great location, awesome staff. Total 5 stars!!

Top notch marina located close to the shops and restaurants that make St. Michaels so charming. Found several new museums this year that made for a fun and informative visit, pool is small but clean. Did not use the restroom or laundry facilities. Pump out and fuel were available at our slip for maximum convenience, loaner truck was old and a bit difficult for a short person to get into (no running boards) but got the job done for a quick provision run.

There were some billing issues associated with our visit to St Michaels Marina associated with our changing the number of nights we ended up staying that Dockwa had screwed up a bit. Marina harbormaster Michael was excellent in quickly getting these resolved by calling Dockwa direct and continued to go out of his way to be helpful to us during our stay. The marina itself is very nice and easy to get in and out of with great dock assistance. It's perfectly located right in the heart of St. Michaels.

Michael and the staff went out of their way to ensure we had a great experience at SMM. From getting us in over Memorial Day, to lending us the truck to do some provisioning, all was top notch. The staff are some of the most experienced and knowledgeable folks we've encountered from NC to the Chesapeake. SMM is a premium price marina but with the staff, the town and the SMM management, it's well worth the visit. Our second time here and we'll come back on the return trip to NC.

St. Michaels Marina is located in the southwest corner of the pocket that is St. Michaels. Approach depths were no less than 12 feet mlw and we found 7.5 feet mlw at our slip. The gas dock, selling both gasoline and diesel, is a face dock located on the small channel the turns south between St Michaels Marina and St. Michaels Harbour Inn Marina. There is plenty of room to turn and come into the dock for a portside tie for fuel. There is good wave, and wind protection in all directions except from the east, were a good blow will bring some waves into the back of the harbor. Pumpout service was not available during our stay as their system is in the process of being replaced. Completion is scheduled by the middle of May but, if this is important to you, check.

All docks are fixed and are in good repair. Electric (30/50) and water are provided on the dock. There are good, clean showers and a new laundry (accepts quarters) available on site. There are no physical security measures on the docks but they are well lit and there was no issues with the public on the docks. Marina WiFi is easy to connect to and has acceptable speed. Cell reception is excellent for all carriers. In season rates for dockage and electricity should be noted when making reservations.

We were here pre-season with a group of twelve boats. The dock staff was limited but very knowledgeable and responsive to their duties. The two restaurants at the marina are very good. There are several other good restaurants within easy walking distance. There is a pool on site.

St. Michaels is noted as being one of the best summer communities on the Eastern Shore of Maryland. We can imagine that the harbor and the town get crowded during the season. There are several museums and galleries in the town. The Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum is a must see. Grocery shopping is available from several smaller stores but resupply would require a trip to Easton, ten miles away, where there are several supermarkets, a Wal-Mart and a Lowes.

The Good: Great location. Marina is fine. Dock staff is good.
The reason its not 4 stars: The Dockmaster was quite rude and not helpful. We even witnessed her dockstaff trying to smooth things over with customers, including two situations with us! All we asked for was availability for an extra night because storms were coming in and we wanted shelter. She told us NO and then called me later to offer a "premium slip" that was open but we would have to pay the premium price! All we were trying to do was stay safe from a high wind storm...other marinas have done this at no additional charge when the slip was sitting open. There was nothing premium about the slip except larger and larger shore power which we didn't need. The next morning we asked again about cancellations and she ended up raising her voice to us to tell us NO again (dockhand stepped in again). All I asked her to do was check with the incoming boat to insure they were still coming as they would also be impacted by the weather. She wouldn't do it.
We rode out the storm in an anchorage nearby. Good facility and location but unfortunately, the worst Dockmaster we've dealt with by far.

Loved the marina! The best location for access to everything this awesome town has to offer! Attentive staff. Super nice touch, they gave us a welcome packet with two pictures of our boat taken upon arrival by drone, classy! Highly recommended

Interesting place. A bit of an issue with reservation, but was resolved. Dock staff was professional and helpful. It is pricey, but it is a resort town. Walking into town is easy, mostly caters to tourist on weekends, so Monday and Tuesday most places are closed.

Great location, great dockhands and staff. Prices are pretty high. They did match a local fuel price as advertised.

St Michael is a must stop on the loop. Very quaint town and the museum is one of the best. We could have stayed there another day. The dock price however is a little stiff ($2.95/foot plus $25 for electric) as is the fuel at $3.19 per gallon. Still, if you can afford one night, do it. Oh by the way, the Crab Claw is a great restaurant right next to the museum. Their beer was cold and the food was good.
