The 5 star rating is for what this marina is. No facilities, but this is the easiest place to get a short haul in a travel lift. Reasonably priced and they get you in. Staff very friendly and helpful!

Swan Point Marina is in the process of rebuilding. The staff are great and very helpful. I had no issues with my 4.5 foot draft. I am looking forward to seeing the improvements once I am back.

This marina is no longer as described. In short it is closed. The main building, were advertised amenities were located, is shutdown (literally boarded-up). There is not enough water in the basin (with our 3.0 feet draft, 4.0 feet would have suffice). The exterior T head, were we were tied-up, is in a state of disarray (electrical hook-ups in sorry shape, no water). The whole site is gloomy but since work has been initiated to renovate the site, let's hope for the best in the future. For now, this marina is not functional. One positive point: the sole custodian of the site is extremely nice but cannot offer more than a basic tie-up with power on an exposed T head (not a floating dock).

    WG Editor Comment:
Waterway Guide contacted the marina. It is not closed. New ownership, rebuilding underway, limited amenities. Call ahead for slip availability.

Came in at night and left early next day. Called the owner to pay for dockage and was told no charge, just visit on the way back. Looks like they're in the beginning stages of updating the marina. Docks are rough currently.

Agree with most of the other posts here about the condition of this marina. However, do want to comment about the helpfulness of Jim, the dock master. He was a big help in bringing us in under poor conditions.

After the two women left that ran the marina, it is not to be recommended. The outside dock is the only one with depths over 5 feet and now it's occupied by a shrimp boat, not available for transients. The inside docks are all less than 5 feet, if that. We no longer stay here.

Approach and dockside depth is still 4ft. No hurricane repairs have been even started. Should have passed on this marina.

This marina is a wreck! We needed a port urgently (mechanical issue) and we should've passed it. I know what they say, any port in a storm but.... when they haven't done a thing to fix the docks, water or electric since the hurricane (probably before that even) they should NOT be accepting boats. And they still billed full price. We had no water for 3 days. Thankfully we had a full tank.
The only saving grace of this marina was the mechanic Nathan. What a great & honest man who knows his stuff!!!

The marina has very little to recommend except location. We’ve used it several times in order to get past Camp Lejeume conveniently. We always take the outside facedock since the inside is shoaled to 3 ft MLLW. You’re subject to the wakes of passing boats, especially on weekends.
