Fabulous facilities with friendly and knowledgeable staff. Sophie seemed to be our personal concierge as we needed 7 feet of water and had to arrive on a falling lunar tide. Zach and the other deckhands made easy work navigating to the refueling horseshoe, then out to our slip with skinny water. We know we can make the north channel and Red Brook Harbor to get in and out on a +.8 tide! The Chart Room restaurant is at the end of the Marina ramp and the food and drinks are great however the patio is not pet friendly. The Marina is so pet friendly, the dock crew offered to watch our pup so we could get a bite ashore. Can't ask for anything more!

We've stayed here multiple times, stayed on moorings each time. Great location, well protected. Great beach on the island. Restaurant used to be dog friendly if you ate outdoors but we were advised that is no longer the policy on our last visit. Restaurant / bar has excellent food. They need a bigger dinghy dock, and we frequently have to climb over other tenders.

We were here one night and did not go ashore, nor did we actually interact with staff.

We had reserved a mooring ball ahead and picked it up on arrival. Then departed in the morning to catch the favorable canal current.

But the mooring ball was in good shape!

Navigating in from the bay has many twists and turns. Our chart showed much shallower than our depth readings were. There are boats on moorings the entire way - many of which seem to be in the channel.

The Kingman Marina is one of the best in Buzzards Bay. This a great harbor to stay in prior to going through the Cape Cod canal. There are 2 ways into the harbor, one from the north and one from the south. The way in from the north is a bit longer but the preferred way. Keep your eyes on the depth sounder and don't cut any marks or you will surely run aground. Fortunately the bottom is mostly sand. Friendly, helpful staff. In 2016 Moorings cost $50 /night which includes launch service which runs until 9 pm on week days and 10:30 pm on Friday & Saturday. There is a full service boatyard which can perform almost any type of repairs. There is a great restaurant called The Chart Room. Good food & fair prices. Friday and Saturday night be prepared to wait for a table. It gets very crowded.
