Our decision to dock at DYC was made on short order. We called about 2 hours before we arrived and VHF 68 as we got close.
Two dockhands were waiting as we arrived. True, we were on the wall near the Clubhouse, but the NE winds and waves did not carry down the channel.
Weather decided we were not traveling for the next 3 days.
Clubhouse has a restaurant. Good menu selection. We ate there twice.
They have a BBQ area with tables, wash-up sinks, grill and propane. Two other boat and ourselves had an evening together.
A club shuttle boat will take you to the other side (or a 20 or so minute walk) where there are a number of eating places.
All in all - good place to stayView location on the Waterway Guide Explorer

30 Jul 2023. Port Dalhousie Yacht Club. We had friends who helped us get a reservation here to stage for our upbound passage on the Welland Canal. We docked just before a downpour and the staff was out there and helped us tie up. Great restrooms and showers. We were able to eat at the Yacht Club restaurant. It was a weekend night so the music was playing across the entrance and we could listen to that. We were busy getting ready for our upbound transit so didn't have much time to explore the area. The marina Wi-Fi was very good and both are T-Mobile and Verizon phones worked adequately. The marina staff is constantly on the lookout for boats that put a wake out in the harbor. And of course on a weekend there were many boats that were going fast but the loudspeaker and siren got their attention. A very welcoming Club and town to visit. The approach and pier is 12 feet in depth. Deep water slips are the same with smaller vessels being slipped in 8 or more feet in depth. This marina has valvtec diesel and gas supplies, a pumpout at the well marked fuel area and a dining indoor and outdoor patio serving fresh food and drink. The marina is in a well protected harbor with 15, 30 amp power and some 50 amp and water. Restrooms and showers are also on-site. The pier is available to slip at with no services overnight or for a landing fee for day use and can accommodate vessels over 150 feet. Located directly beside Lakeside Park and beach with walking paths and picnic areas are great for dog walks. An old authentic carousel with authentic 100 year old style is in the park. The price is .05 cents and/or donation. Restaurants are available along the old Town of Port Dalhousie with biking and walking paths leading to historic sites of the 1st Welland Canal. World class Henley Rowing Centre is a short few blocks but you can watch rowers, usually daily, along the waterway about 1 block away. Many events for rowing are in June each year. A great destination for a night while waiting or returning from the traversing of the Welland Canal approximately 5 miles away.
