Sturdy and wide new fixed docks. Great help with docking. Nice town with interesting shops and lots of restaurant choices. Good supermarket very close by. Only one shower for the marina but it is clean and the restrooms are spotless. Free laundry facility. No security but there are cameras overlooking the marina. Some noise from the next door dry stack boatyard, and it starts early. We would highly recommend this as a great stop on the Panhandle.

The marina has been rebuilt with new docks and office. A restaurant is in the planning stage but there are several restaurants within a couple of blocks of the marina. Great friendly staff and very helpful. Awesome little town.

Very nice, well protected, and easy access marina with both fixed, and floating docks. Nice ships store, bathrooms, shower, laundry, and pet access. Nearby restaurants and grocery store. Staff was fantastic and very helpful.

Beautiful new facility with outstanding customer service. We had a side-tie on the inside of a floating dock that was very secure and well protected, with power and water. Spotless bathrooms, shower (only one) and laundry. Very nice boater's lounge. About 200 yards from grocery store and close to CVS and restaurants. Port St. Joe is a great little town, and was well worth the side trip off of the ICW.

Point South Marina at Port St Joe. Apr 1-6
It won't be long before the marina in PSJ is once again the premier cruising destination it was in the past! A transient boater's dream.
Outstanding, first-class rebuild that will only get better! Loved the attitude of all the marina hands we met.View location on the Waterway Guide Explorer

Point South Marina at Port St Joe. April 21-23, 2023
The rebuild of this marina and quaint little town post hurricane Michael is nothing short of spectacular.
The marina is planned and laid out very well will a solid and well maintained dockage. Everything here exceeds the highest of modern standards. The have a nice ship's store, restrooms, and showers.
The best thing was all of the staff. They were very helpful during our arrival dockage, departure, and were there to assist us all in between. It is obvious that they love to host and cater to transient boaters.
The town has many amenities and restaurants within walking distance. A Grocery, drug store, McDonalds, and many great restaurants are all very close by.
Thank you to manager Preston Sutter for making our stay easy and memorable. We will be back soon.

Marina is still in the process of rebuilding but was able to take us in for a few days. Power and water available, along with laundry if needed. The staff is so welcoming and if you need anything they are happy to help. The future will be great for them.

Point South Marina at Port St Joe, 25feb-04mar2023. We called looking for a safe port due to a steering system failure and the staff, without hesitation, told us to proceed to the marina and the staff will help us dock. The staff are friendly and helpful. This facility is almost completely open after being completely rebuilt after hurricane damage. There is a very nice shower and laundry facilities. A grocery store and restaurants are all within walking distance. This is a good destination marina. Thank you, Capt Ray Woods

Earlier this month I had the honor of being the first overnight guest at this marina since it was rebuilt after complete destruction from Hurricane Michael in 2018. Although the marina is not completely finished -- the floating dock installation and electrical work is currently under way -- it already shows signs of being a first class facility. The staff went out of its way to get me situated on the "staging area" near the fuel dock, ensuring I had power and water for the night. The marina's restrooms, including its single shower room, and laundry room are open for use; the spacious shower room was so new it still lacked a shower curtain. There's a marina shop featuring logo and other brand name merchandise, as well as beverages. The entire staff was friendly and helpful throughout my stay.
The marina is in a well-protected area with a wide sea wall between it and the bay. It's a short walk from the marina around to the wall for watching sunsets or just taking a walk.
The marina is conveniently located less than 2 blocks from a Piggly Wiggly supermarket and a well-stocked outdoor store specializing in marine-related merchandise. Town is another 3 or so blocks away and features many shops and restaurants. If you like oysters, I can recommend the Uptown Raw Bar, which also serves other seafood, as well as burgers and sausages, in a casual atmosphere.
I really liked this marina and hope I can visit again when it's done. Although it wasn't built to cater to Loopers -- it has a huge vertical boat storage shed and will have lots of docks for locals and rentals -- I think it's a great stop that checks all my boxes. How often can we find a quality marina with a professional staff that's also close to shopping and dining? Yes, it's a side trip off the canal between Panama City and Apalachicola, but I thought it was worth it.View location on the Waterway Guide Explorer

Anyone who has read my reviews knows that I do not heap praise very often, but this marina deserves heaps. It is a very well protected marina in a very well protected bay. No swells or wakes to deal with. It is a fairly small marina, but seemed to have a lot of available docks (in the off-season). There are plenty of power and water outlets, a fuel station, and a pump out station. The docks are in good shape, and well maintained.
It is a short walk to the marina office where there are two restrooms, and two shower/restroom combinations. There are also a washer and dryer in the same place. They also have a pretty good seafood restaurant/bar with plenty of outdoor seating. The ships store is mostly a gift shop with some clothing, etc.
This is all good, but there is much more. When I checked in, they were very welcoming. I was given a welcome packet that included a visitor’s guide to Port St. Joe, which looks like a nice small town. The packet also has basic info about the marina, emergency names and phone numbers, and a list with names, addresses, and phone numbers of 15 restaurants, 11 churches, 9 motels, and the local taxi service (no Uber or Lyft there).
In addition, there is a full grocery store, a pharmacy, a recreational outfitter, a barber, a bank, and more, all within easy walking distance. To top it all off, I can actually use the free WiFi FROM MY BOAT! This is a rarity in marinas. All this for $1.50 per foot? My advise is to not stay there for a night, the way I had to (I was on a tight schedule). Stay for 3 or 5. I’ll bet that you won’t regret it. Highly recommended.View location on the Waterway Guide Explorer
