This is a great marina with high quality docks (they're currently expanding as well!). The staff are incredible. The facilities are really nice.
The surrounding area is a community college, a city park, and lots of residential. There are two lighthouses a short walk, and several more a short drive/bike away. It's all great for a more subdued boating visit to the south end of Casco Bay. There is a Hannaford's grocery store about a mile and a half away. But more importantly Willard Scoops is only a mile away ;)
Out on the end of the docks you get a great view of the bay along with the forts, islands, and frequent historic sailboat cruises.
This is a great first landing point on a trip north, and it's a great home base for exploring Casco Bay on your boat.View location on the Waterway Guide Explorer

Dockmaster Peter Rauscher deserves top credit for running an efficient and very professional marine dock for this family-run Port Harbor Marine company. His staff is respectful, friendly and outgoing. The facilities' showers are spotless and the lounge is comfortable. North43Bistro restaurant is onsite and has excellent (lunch and dinner). The use of a courtesy vehicle to make a quick run, is a real plus; however, UBER/LYFT only cost around $10 to get into Portland. We love this place that's "in Portland" but not in the center of Portland (if you get what I mean).
