We were on the face of the east dock and the flood pushed us off the dock at about 4-5 knots. Additionally, there is no wake protection from all of the passing boats in the river so it's a bumpy place to stay. Lots pf fenders and strong mooring lines. The dockmaster was great and it's an easy walk into Portsmouth.

Arrive at slack water and you will have little issue to dock. Great dock manager on site. Facilities are modern and well maintained. Had a slip there for ~15 yrs.

Nice friendly facility, but not for the faint of heart. Strong currents and the docks are very close to the bridge. Maneuvering into an inside slip was extremely tight (about 55 ft from end of docks to rocky shallows and concrete bridge deck).
