Great Marina overall. Well protected. Pretty quiet EXCEPT in the flight path of the airport, so at times the planes were loud. Nice, newer floating docks, helpful staff, very friendly live aboard neighbors. Best of all, walk across the parking lot to Dania Beach, we went almost every day! We stayed here for a few weeks due to a family emergency, work, travel etc. Easy Uber to Fort Lauderdale airport. Bus stop close by that was ok to use. Buses came about 1x/hour. About 1.7 miles to bike to a Publix grocery. Two restaurants in easy walking distance. Marina was well secured with gates. Bathrooms were dated but cleaned regularly. Laundry $2.50 wash $1.50 dry, had 3 washers and 3 dryers but only one each was working. There is a FIXED BRIDGE at the entrance to the marina. We needed to take our Garmin down to clear it at high tide. If your air draft is more than 16-17 feet you may need to consider timing the tides.

Arrived after hour 6pm, nobody on the marina to provide information neither our reserved slip. I didn’t use at all. Went to a public space instead.

Location was very convenient to beaches and to airport. There was originally a snafu with our reservation. Apparently there was supposed to be slips blocked off for a boat convention but we had reserved and paid beforehand. When we called for our slip assignment they didn’t have one. They were willing to refund our money but we had nowhere else to go and our daughter was flying in that afternoon. After a few stressful hours, they were able to get us a slip. So, they made it right. However, bathrooms/showers were disgusting.

New ownership since our last stay in Feb 24. Here are the changes they have made so far
1. Raised the price
2 Hired a security guard to sit in cart outside the gate with flashing green lights to keep homeless people off the dock over night
The bathroom were scheduled to be renovated during our stay. This was supposed to be a minor inconvenience, however around 2pm we find that the entire bathroom/ showers/ and laundry were closed for two days. We used the public bathrooms and showered outside in 60 degree weather at the beach rinse off area. Thankfully we had done laundry the day before or we would have been screwed.
The main reason for the bad review was not that the above occurred, but during a conversation with the dockmaster about the situation he agreed to offer me a one night credit (I stayed 5 nights) for the inconvenience. It’s been two weeks and I still have not received a credit.
Ona positive note, the young dock hands are great, the town of Dania/Hollywood is fun!WG Editor Comment:
Snag-A-Slip reached out to the marina manager for further comment but did not receive a response regarding this review. We do want to note that our records show the reservation was for two nights booked through Snag-A-Slip, and we are unable to verify any additional nights booked directly with the marina, as well as any credit authorized outside of our platform.View location on the Waterway Guide Explorer

Bridge clearance gauge was dislodged and I destroyed my anchor light on the way out. Security cart had lights flashing in my windows all night. Took the idle speed piling sign on my starboard side upon entry and then touched bottom. Warning would be nice.

This place is dangerous, filthy, and unprofessional. No one ever answers the phone. The building and showers are disgusting, with mold, feces on the toilets, and used band-aids in the showers that have remained there for weeks. There is often no toilet paper available. When you rent a transient slip, they don't inform you of your placement until you arrive, only to find your boat positioned on an open public dock with a broken security gate, leaving it fully accessible to the public. Car alarms blare throughout the night for hours, homeless individuals sleep on the boardwalk and benches, and people fish with poles and nets right beside your vessel on the public dock. Others bathe and swim in the marina cut like it’s a third-world scene, mere feet from your yacht, with no safety or security measures in place. The restrooms are infested with roaches and ants, while vending machines remain sold out for months. They only provide one facility key for two people on board and charge $30 for an extra key, which must be returned. On our dock, there are gypsies and hoarders, with construction work from other vessels creating hazards, such as electric lines running across the dock. We have encountered individuals clearly under the influence of drugs, rambling and acting erratically just steps away from our boat. Despite their website's appealing images, the reality of this place is horrendous and not worth the money.

Thank you for taking the time to leave us this review and feedback. We strive to provide a remarkable experience for all of our guests and are disappointed when expectations are not met. As you note in your review, we are still undergoing the process of repairing damages and issues that have resulted from the recent hurricanes. These storms not only affected the city phone lines, which prevented us from receiving your initial calls the day of your arrival, but also caused damages to our facilities, amenities like the bathrooms, and vessels belonging to our long-term slip holders. Due to our unique location directly on the beach, we are exposed to greater effects from hurricanes, and we greatly appreciate your patience and understanding as we work through these recovery efforts.View location on the Waterway Guide Explorer

great location, beach is awesome to the north but full south of pier, fishing pier, whiskey creek to explore (beware of derelict boats on creek just north of marina, do not swim there) check bridge clearance and be aware of depth in marina. docks not in best shape and have never seen pump-out system working. otherwise a good place to visit.
