  • Reviews Summary

The reviews for the marina highlight a mix of positive and negative experiences.

    Positive Aspects:
    - Steve, the owner, is frequently praised for being friendly and helpful, contributing to a relaxed atmosphere at the marina.
    - The marina offers well-protected transient docks with good facilities for securing boats, making it a suitable place for those flying out of Huntsville airport.
    - Staff members are described as kind and knowledgeable, providing assistance when needed.
    - The marina has convenient amenities like a self-serve gas station right on the dock.

    Negative Aspects:
    - There are limited facilities, with only restrooms available and no showers, which some guests found disappointing.
    - The on-site restaurant is currently closed for refurbishment, and there are no nearby dining options accessible by foot, requiring Uber for transportation to town.
    - Some technical issues were noted, such as a malfunctioning power pedestal and a lack of weekend staff, which can lead to communication difficulties.
    - The water levels in the lagoon can be low, posing a risk for boats that draw more than four feet.

Overall, while the marina is appreciated for its protective environment and friendly management, the lack of amenities and transportation options may be a drawback for some visitors.

Only a restroom onsite- no showers. Restaurant is closed and only way to town is via Uber. Steve the owner is great! Good place to leave your boat if flying out of Huntsville airport. Well-protected harbor with covered slips.

Staff was great. Very helpful. Gas was $4.80 a gallon self-serve using a credit card. The credit card machine is located right on the dock very handy.

The staff here were very kind and knowledgeable about their operation, which is why I didn't actually stay here.

"Cap'n, in all my years as harbormaster, I've NEVER seen the water in my lagoon this low. If you draw any more than four feet, you're gonna get stuck. We've got plenty of room at the dock, but no water in the bowl!"

In the high water season, and even during normal winter, they would probably have enough depth for my 5' 6" boat, but not this winter.

Plenty of transient space with good docks with large cleats and rubber protection. The basin is well off the river. The restaurant is closed for refurbishment. No way to bike or walk to town across the very busy highway bridge, but Uber or delivery are possible. No showers or restrooms. One side of the power pedestal did not work, the other side was fine. The phone is not answered on the weekend, leave a message. No staff on site. No security. no wifi but good cell signal.

Kept boat here for 5 months. Steve is a really nice guy and runs a relaxed atmosphere marina. No bath or shower facilities but well protected transient docks. The restaurant on site is a local favorite and can be pretty lively at times. Call ahead and leave a message. He'll get back to you.
