Transient slips, like most marinas nowadays, are tough to come by, but the staff at Bluewater Bay Marina will do their best to fit you in. If you can't tie up to their docks, it's worth it to anchor out in Rocky Bayou and dinghy ashore to enjoy a meal at their wonderful on-site restaurant, the live music at LJ Schooners Oyster Bar, the brand-new washer and dryer, or their clean hot showers. Get your holding tank pumped out when you get topped off with fresh fuel. Got mechanical issues? Mayhew Marine Repair, right on the marina property, may be able to fix you up.

The Bluewater Bay Marina is a well run facility in a beautiful setting with a great vibe! The docks and pedestals are clean and in good condition. The office staff were good and helpful. The onsite restaurant and bar have good food and were a lot of fun! The facilities, bathroom and showers are clean and well maintained. Internet access was adequate. There is a lender vehicle and was glad to be able to use it. The vent fans and AC don't work.
I look forward to going back!View location on the Waterway Guide Explorer

I will only be here a couple of days, but I see lots of positives: friendly, helpful staff and comfortable, pleasant ambiance. Clean bathrooms and showers with AC. Full calendar with a variety of fun activities for the marina and Bluewater locals while still maintaining a low key vibe. Shady hangout and activity area that becomes dining area at night.
I recommend Bluewater Bay even with the few negatives: the lone washing machine wasn't working at the time and had a rain leak over the area, and the loaner car was in need of some repair. There are no recycling bins. But altogether a very cool place to stay and nice people to meet.View location on the Waterway Guide Explorer

We loved this marina and stayed five nights. The staff are friendly and helpful. The courtesy car was a real plus. It is a family friendly environment, and we enjoyed watching a few kids play in the water and on the swing. Live music was played at night during the weekend outside the restaurant, which we enjoyed. We would definitely return if in the area.

We paid for a month and stayed 18 of those days. We had family in the area and then just were waiting for a weather window to head towards Carabelle. Harbor hosts Jack and Patty Nickerson are the AGLCA harbor hosts and are fabulous. They hosted docktails many times, were so welcoming of our children on board, hosted us for NYE and followed my husband all the way to Carabelle to drop our car off there and then drove him all the way back. They go above and beyond. Other loopers are there as well and the local live aboards are all friendly. There are currently not a lot of transient slips as they have been a post hurricane overflow marina. But April was able to fit us in.
April will send you a map and instructions on your way in. You have to mind all three sets of markers.
Some of the Docks are in rough shape but pilings sturdy. Very dark at night. Barely any light on the dock.
Pump out was working on and off. They do have a pump out boat that will come to your slip when it is working. Or pump out at pool dock.
Restaurant on site. Miles of walking in the neighborhoods and access to the heated pool.View location on the Waterway Guide Explorer

I'm a delivery captain and I've never been treated better than at Bluewater. We had a leaking exhaust hose and called on a Sunday. Jimmi at the office ordered the hose for delivery the next day. She called an onsite mechanic who returned the call immeditely and met us in the morning to install it.
Professional staff took care of fueing and pump out. Excellent restaurant on site. Don't pass it up a chance to stop.View location on the Waterway Guide Explorer

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at BlueWater Bay. The staff was friendly and hospitable. Outstanding Ship's store, excellent restaurant and oyster bar. Very family friendly and well protected. Deep, well marked channel. Easy entry with lots of room out in the bayou to get rigged up for entry without impeding traffic.
