A tugboat struck the bridge on August 19, damaging electrical components necessary for its lift functionality. The bridge currently opens for waterway traffic exceeding 40ft height ONLY at 7am on Tuesdays and at 7pm on Thursdays. The repairs are currently expected to be completed on 10/04/2025 per Jim Suber, the city of Jacksonville dockmaster.
