This is an excellent anchorage to view the races from. It is a shallow anchorage with depths from about 4 feet to 6 feet at low tide. We found the area to be slightly deeper than Explorer Charts, but only slightly.
Protection from east winds is very good. Some chop as winds turn north or south. There is easy access to the beach or dock at Ty's restaurant. This is also at the edge of the airstrip. Expect a few planes daily. Farmers has a great history and the families that reside on the cay are friendly and welcoming. Cell service is good for ALiV and BTC.
