Beautiful anchorage with deep sand, a gorgeous clean and quiet beach, and plenty of places to explore by dinghy, kayak, and SUP. Friendly resort with tiki bar (see separate reviews) on shore. We came into the anchorage with east winds of 15+ knots and found the anchorage to be quite flat with just a tiny bit of roll from the SE. Very comfortable. There were already 8 boats present, but still plenty of room in the northern part and no boats in the southern part. Other reviews have underestimated space in the anchorage. Easily 2 dozen boats would fit within the anchorage and larger cruising vessels can anchor outside. There was one mega-yacht, about 300 feet behind all the other boats. We found the depths to be conservative in Explorer charts and were able to go just beyond the dotted line near the .8meter mark and still have approx 2 meters at MLW.

By our 4th day here, winds had shifted further SE to about 150 degrees magnetic @ 10-15+ knots. All the monohulls left due to swell from the South. It was not uncomfortable on a cat, but certainly some side swell is present.Excellent holding in sand.

Nice grocery store with some local produce is 3/4 mile to the north.

Mangrove trails from the south portion of the bay are beautiful and lead to a blue hole. This is a fantastic anchorage and shore stop in easterlies.
