Stopped for a night in mid October and had the cove to ourselves. Room for lots of boats. Great holding in firm mud in 8+ feet of water. A bit of fetch at the entrance to the cove, but plenty of room deeper in or along one of the arms. Will definitely come back when passing this way again.

We decided on this protected cove. No waves, just a little breeze, near perfect place to anchor and relax.
Room for a good dozen boats
Anchored in good holding 8ft.
Love this spot, will use it again given the opportunityView location on the Waterway Guide Explorer

Only 2 crab pots, very pretty. We did not have the best internet reception but we anchored by the entrance. 7 foot deep at low.

We stayed here during HOT weather, and chose where to anchor in the creek based on where we could get the best breeze with a minimum of fetch. Nailed it. We stayed cool and comfortable all night without bouncing all over the place or needing to run our generator. Wind was coming out of the south, so we positioned ourselves in the northern-most finger of the creek. Beautiful spot!

It is a detour is you are doing the loop. Almost no service from T-Mobile.
