We did this time only to get to the railroad bridge just before Atlantic City and find it non-functional, so we turned around and anchored here for five days while they fixed the bridge. A local with a dock invited us to use his dock to dinghy ashore, which we happily did to get a pizza (delicious), a few things at the nearby pharmacy, and gasoline for our Honda generator. Try to never be stuck on the wrong side of that bridge ever, but this is a solid, safe place to drop the hook if you have to.
