Description: Just off the Coast Guard Station offers protection from NE through SW winds. Lots of wakes. Must stay at least 500' away from USCG vessels per Home Land Security. Cell service available.

Very good anchorage, well protected except from the N/NW winds. Off season so no ferry traffic to contend with.

Nice stop if weather is ok. Many boat and sailboat. At night you will need to get a little bit far from the protected anchorage because you may anchor with 25-30 other boats. You can dinghy to a beach but nothing more. I anchor in 20' and holding is good.

We stayed here after a long day from Cape May. We were so worn out from the rolling seas of the Atlantic that this anchorage was well received. Good Holding in 14ft. Just remember that the tide is around 5ft and let enough scope out to accommodate. Had some slap from southerly winds

The place to stop after a long ride up the New Jersey coast. Lots of room, good holding, protected from east winds, but can get very rolly from boat wakes.

Good holding and nice shoreline views in this anchorage. But the wake!
From 4 a.m. until 11 p.m. the wake from ferries and fishing boats was enough to knock items off countertops. We've had some rough anchorages in the past year, but this was the worst. Short dinghy trip to sandy beach.
