Well protected and well developed, anchor in 12-15 feet of water in the little pockets on the sides of the creeks. Depths carry in close to the shores so you can "hug" the edges a bit more than you might normally. Holding is good in mud. One word of warning" the Waterway Guide Anchor Symbol is placed squarely on top of where the remnants of an old dock lie submerged. Nice looking spot, but probably not the best place to anchor.

WG Editor Comment:
WG Staff have anchored there many times, no issues. See Mill Creek 2 Anchorage that reviewer added.

Our two boats could not get a reservation at a marina, so we anchored out here. Nice spot for a swim.

Holding was good, scenery was good, swing room was good.
For shore access and pet "services" I think you'd have to go back down where the Waterway Guide has the anchor icon. There appeared to be a small beach as part of a park maybe?
There are speed limits in this creek that are mostly adhered to, but there were a few power boats towing skiers while we were there on Labor Day weekend. For the most part the wakes weren't bad. There also is very little current and excellent wind protection all around.
We had great cell reception on ATT and TMOB.View location on the Waterway Guide Explorer
