Lots of trails to explore. Across from Stoneys at Clark's Landing and a short trip to Solomons. Great place to get away. The locals love it and you'll find many swimming in the anchorage or doing other water sports and hiking. A new favorite. I like to anchor tucked into the SE deeper area, near shore, where we see 8-11 feet. Beware the 2.9 shallow area. I've seen small boats anchor at the top of the shallow area and wade to shore. Overall, the anchorage is a huge area that can grow as needed to the W-NW, and it is a popular spot for weekend boaters to picnic and do water sports but few spend the night. Most all are courteous and cautious in and around the anchorage. Crabbers will set trot lines around the anchorage most days, starting close to sunrise. There is enough fetch from the W to N that a thunderstorm passing from those directions can create significant wave action. I've done many 180-degree shifts here to a quick reset in the muddy bottom with my Bruce and all-chain rode. Cell service is strong with Verizon coverage the best. AT&T used to be weak in this area, but I haven't personally checked recently. There may be Comcast hot spots visible, but the signal strength usually isn't worth bothering with. Stoney's Clarke's Landing Restaurant (Crab House+) is to the north with float-ins welcome, but there isn't much else nearby.
