Description: It would be advisable to call the Bristol Harbormaster (401-253-1700) for suggestions on anchoring. You can tie up your dinghy just north of the old stone armory in front of Rockwell Park.

Good protection from all but southerly swells, good holding in mud. On 9/11/2023 Diesel was $4.60, Gas $4.50. 2 miles to a real grocery store ( deducting one star for that ), but a minimart a few block from the town dinghy dock, plenty of restaurants & the Herreshoff Maritime Museum make it worth the visit.

Very good anchorage with a nice town and great visitors center. You can anchor south of the mooring field. Anchorage has good protection except from the south. The harbormasters office has clean showers, coin laundry and vending machines. Several small grocery stores in town and many good restaurants right near the waterfront.

Easy pick up of a clean line. Great spot to access the town of Bristol. Would rate higher but there is no water taxi or launch service available. You must use your own dinghy.
