Buckle Island was the first MITA trail site. It has a hiking trail all around and several picnicking spots. There are fairy houses and cute installations sprinkled in, and a gorgeous sandy beach on the south end of the island.
Holding is excellent in mud in 8 to 10 feet MLW. Good wind protection from the west and east, fair from the north and south.View location on the Waterway Guide Explorer
