They are clearly marked "Town Guest" and are on the outer edge of the mooring field. It's an exposed area with little protection from wakes, wind, or waves. The views of sunset over Southwest Harbor are stunning, however.
You can land at the town dinghy dock and explore. There's a trail that leads to a beautiful pebble beach at Preble Cove. The town is in the process of rebuilding their general store, which burned down earlier this year (2023).View location on the Waterway Guide Explorer
