I wasn't sure I wanted to put all 200' of chain out so we anchored near the island to get a little shallower. Quiet. A little mud on the anchor. Cell service was one/two bars on Verizon.

Great place to tuck away from river traffic. Very quiet night. Good holding. Eagles! We came in from downriver. Saw 10 feet lowest and turned into 20-40 feet very deep even close to shore. Plenty of room to swing. Exit upriver since we were headed to Fall Rendezvous at Paris Landing. If worried about depths just enter and exit upriver side!

Continue up channel behind islands in 40 feet of water and move toward island side for proper anchoring depth in 1 mph of current. Island is heavily wooded with good protection except from north. Room for many boats properly spaced. Good cell reception for all three cell carriers. No shore access.
