Beautiful anchorage, easy in/out. Not many day boaters during the weekdays so wake was not an issue. Dinghy to the little boat ramp at Hunts Neck Point to walk the dogs. There's a small sandy strip to pull the dinghy up on. Do watch out for the rocks and slippery footing.

Anchor set immediately and came up in the morning with mostly clean chain and a good chunk of sandy mud on the anchor. Good wind and wave protection with from north, west, and south winds. Slight tidal current runs through the anchorage so, in light winds, you may swing with the current. We anchored on a nice Sunday evening and there was some boat traffic before dark, but not excessive. No traffic at night. Crab pots visible but mostly in shallower water. Cell phone reception is good for Big Three. The shore is all private land and there is shore access for either fido or shopping.

Anchored in 8 feet of water, put out 70ft of chain and never moved in 35mph gusts.
There was A LOT of mud on the chain when we pulled it but that is to be expected after 3 nights.View location on the Waterway Guide Explorer

Not a bad place, just watch for anchor drag.

Stay to the east to anchor out to be away from the boat traffic that usually favors the western side of this area. If the wind is from the N-NE, then just go around the bend upriver and you're still protected.
